About this product

AI assistants write Excel formulas in seconds. Some of them are wrong, and Excel never tells you. This guide and practice workbook show the whole route from a raw export to a decision, with a check at every step. The practice workbook is a fictional shop, 12 months and 3,899 order lines: a messy export with text everywhere, five spellings of "North", prices typed as text with a dollar sign and a thousands comma, discounts like "10%", product and size in one column, and duplicated lines. Power Query cleans all of it and re-runs with one refresh. XLOOKUP adds category, unit cost and gross margin to every line; PivotTables show revenue by month and channel and margin by category, with a TRUE/FALSE cell that checks the PivotTable against a plain SUM; and ten business questions are answered by live formulas, each one shown. The guide gives an afternoon plan hour by hour, how to prompt an AI assistant for formulas and Power Query without pasting private data and how to check what comes back, a margin formula that looks right and is about 10,000 dollars off in the practice data (and how to catch it), using it on your own export, and a 12-prompt library.

Questions

How were the answers checked?

Every answer in the workbook was recomputed by a separate program reading the original CSV: 52 of 52 checks matched, as saved and again after reopening and refreshing from scratch, with no error cells. A duplicated line pasted into the raw sheet the way Excel pastes it was recognised and removed, and a deliberately wrong margin formula was caught by the checks. The workbook in the download is byte-identical to the one tested.

Is the data real?

No. The shop and its data are fictional. All guide text, the workbook, the query, the formulas and the practice data are original. It is not financial or accounting advice, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Microsoft or any AI company.

How do I get my file?

Right after payment you see a Download button on the payment page. Each link works for 10 minutes, so save the file straight away. If a link expires, write to us with your order ID for a new one.

Can I get a refund?

Digital products are final sale. If a download does not work, email us within 7 days of purchase with your order ID and a short screen recording. We send a working file within 2 working days, or refund you in full if we cannot. Read the refund policy

Is anything shipped?

No. Every product is a digital download. Nothing physical is shipped.

Is the payment secure?

Yes. Payments in India are processed by Cashfree, and payments from outside India by PayPal, each on its own secure checkout. We never see or store your card or bank details.
